Book 2 — of the Gentlemen Rogues

The exiled Princess Caroline has quite the dilemma. In the middle of an elegant ball given in her honor, she is stalked into a moonlit hedge-maze by a toweringly handsome man who then spirits her off to his so-called gentleman’s club. Then he informs her that not only is her life in danger from an unknown assassin, but that he’s there to protect her, whether she approves or not!

A spy for the Foreign Office, Andrew Chase, the dashing earl of Wexford, detests playing nanny to arrogant royals. But the brazen and beautiful Princess Caroline takes his breath away, and the more he learns about this remarkable lady, the more she enchants him. Yet to save her life, Drew must reveal a shocking secret that could send Caroline’s world spinning out of control … and risk losing his lady’s love forever.

AMAZON — Dashing Hero — Perfectly Romantic — 4–1/2*

This was a totally delightful romance from beginning to end. The author immediately engages your imagination with the plausible plot of an exiled royal orphan who was brought up with the dream of one day returning and restoring the looted treasures of her miniscule kingdom back to their rightful place.… With a believable plot, crisp writing, wonderfully developed characters and of course, a perfectly dashing and brave hero, what more could a romance lover want? — Marilyn Rondeau, for VINE VOICE

AMAZON– wonderful!  This is the first Linda Needham book I’ve read, and I absolutely love it! The characters were incredibly likeable, and the story line was unique. There was intrigue, mystery, humor, and most of all, great romance. The reader can see why the two main characters fell in love with each other. There was an obvious obstacle that kept the reader guessing. Also, it is not full of gratuitous sex scenes, and yet one felt the sexual tension. I liked the fact that it was not a predictable book at all, but quite gripping.… I read it in one day. Couldn’t put it down! I loved the secondary characters as well. I can’t wait to read my next Needham book! — By Romance reader — November 23, 2004
